Solveig Syversen works mainly with video, photography and performance. Her pieces have a tendency to be made in an absurd manner. They are in general occupied with so called nonsense, and on the other hand, they quite often deal with existential issues.
She is a graduate at at Högskolan för Fotografi och Film in Gothenburg, and at the Art Academy in Oslo. Together with Marie Reynolds (DK) she established the artist duo BOTG (BRING OUT THE GARBAGE) in 2002. Their works has been exhibited during festivals, and at galleries at the international art scene.
For us Syversen will show her video ”Affections Delight. (On the perpetual ubiquity of power.)” She describes it as an absurd video where the main character is a truck loader. To learn more about our artist, here are some links to check out:
