The Aim of this show is to investigate «African art» as a genre and to question it's existence. It was my intension to choose to show those artist from none African origins, based on the appearance of their works and not the content.
Michael O'donnell: Manchester, 1950. lived in Norway since 1977. He studied BA at Cardiff College of Art 1968-69, Leeds College of Art 1969-72, and MA at The Royal College of Art, London 1972-74.
Stian Eide Kluge: Oslo, 1977. Studied MFA at the National Academy of the Arts, Oslo, 2005-2007, the School of Visual Arts, Department for Film and Video, New York, 2004-2005 and BFA National Academy of the Arts, Oslo, 2000-2004
Steffen Håndlykken: Oslo 21.12.1981. Studied MA Kunstfag, Kunsthøgskolen i Oslo 2006-2008, BA Kunstfag, Institutt for Farge ved Kunsthøgskolen i Oslo 2003-2006, Einar Granum Kunstfagskole 2001-2003 and Grunnfag Idéhistorie, Universitetet i Oslo 2001
Halvor Rønning: Bergen ,1984 Studied BA at Akademie der bildendenden Künste Wien and the National Academy of the Arts, Oslo
Tobias Alexander Danielsson: Jönköping, Sweden Is a second BA student at the National Academy of the Arts, Oslo
Åsmund Skuterud: Norwegian musician & composer. Main instrument guitar, but also playing keyboard and percussion. Written music for several dance performances and theatre plays in Norway, England & Greece. Arranging a club project called Koèju, with a regular club night at Blå in Oslo, Norway, first friday of every month.
