tiger in a room
In the exhibition tiger in a room I present my recent works which are based on pictures produced by a hand held scanner. The printed scans will be accompanied by an object and a series of drawings originating from tiger motives found in Tibetan carpets. My artistic work deals with space and the idea of geometric planes. I work with materials and topics found in my immediate surroundings. In exhibitions I connect objects to span a field in which the viewer can move around as he would in a landscape.
Bio:
Johanna Kintner was born in 1986, she graduated 2013 as a master student from Städelschule, Hochschule für Bildende Künste, Frankfurt am Main, Germany. Before that she studied Sculpture and Fine Arts at the Alanus University of Arts and Social Sciences, Alfter, Germany and at the Trondheim Academy of Fine Art, Norway. Her works have been shown in several exhibitions (among others in Germany, Norway and Italy) including a recent solo exhibition at Galerie Parisa Kind, Frankfurt am Main, Germany. She had working grants in Iceland, France and Latvia and is currently living in Leipzig, Germany.
